Community Outreach

 STEAMEDU (Incubated under IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation) in association with STEAM VISION FOUNDATION serves the community with  outreach programs along with its student volunteers, to make the STEAM Education accessible to underserved in the rural & remote areas.  Please find the glimpses of community outreaches here:  

  

5 Day GENIUS - Girls For Change : March 2019 @ Delhi 62 well deserved girls from 5 different govt schools near shalimar village delhi mentored by 10 college students for developing 13 mobile apps to address local community problems during 5 day community outreach program – GENIUS (Girls Empowering New India Using STEAM) by STEAMEDU.

Mentoring young girls for developjng Apps at Leh Ladakh School girls of leh ladakh(World’s highest altitude region) are learning coding for developing apps under mentoring of IGDTUW students (volunteers with STEAMEDU) for GENIUS(Girls Empowering New India Using STEAM) – a community outreach program by STEAMEDU

Our interns Ms. Vaishali and Ms. Sakshi (MCA 1st Year students of IGDTUW) while teaching WebVR with hands-on experience to the girls of 7th and 8th std. through Community Outreach by Steamedu at Vivekananda Center, Shalimar village, Delhi

STEAMEDU intern Ms Pooja Khanna (B.Com 1st year) while interacting, guiding and mentoring students at Vivekananda Center to work on Animation and helping them to make inspirational videos using it.

STEAMEDU conducted a seminar on Internet of Things (IOT) at Sri Guru Nanak Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Delhi.

In year 2019, STEAMEDU mentored 89 girls (in 19 teams) from rural areas of DELHI and remotest area-

 Description – An app to help in controlling stray cattle menace by connecting people directly to cattle nuisance control authorities.
